Job satisfaction of managers of small business units in the perspective of remote work - pilot research

Anna Lubrańska, Paulina Musialik

Abstract

This study is devoted to the issue of the professional functioning of managers of small business units, whose work mode has changed from stationary to remote, requiring them to adapt their companies to manage their teams in new conditions and on new principles. In the context of this change, the job satisfaction of the surveyed managers (n = 42) was assessed, using Anna Zalewska's Job Satisfaction Scale. The results showed a high level of job satisfaction among 54.8% of respondents (only 9.5% of respondents had a low level of the variable), with the variables describing managerial responsibilities not significantly impacting the level of job satisfaction. The presented research reveals an application dimension for organisational practice.
