Profile of the journal
"E-mentor" is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the Foundation for the Promotion and Accreditation of Economic Education. The first issue was published in October 2003. Since then, the journal has been issued regularly five times a year.
The scope of the journal includes topics related to new trends in education and management as ICT in education; business and technologies; new trends in HR management; teaching methods and programs.
The mission of the journal is to encourage the development and improvement in education, especially in the area of e-learning through disseminating knowledge and promoting active attitudes among its readers.
"E-mentor" presents the most recent research and ideas described in the articles written by academics. Apart from the articles, we also include book reviews and reports from scientific conferences and seminars as well as the "Recommended" section in which the most interesting publications, websites, and forthcoming events are described.
"E-mentor" is on the list of the scientific journal of the Ministry of Education and Science. According to the newest list (revised in January 2024), the author gains 40 points for every published article. The publishing frequency is five volumes a year.

"E-mentor" is abstracted and indexed in WoS ESCI (Emerging Sources Citation Index), CEJSH (The Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities), CEEOL (Central and Eastern European Online Library), PBN (Polish Scientific Bibliography),Index Copernicus Journals Master List and EuroPub.

"E-mentor" is an academic journal established in 2003 as an open access magazine addressed to the e-learning professionals from Polish Higher Education institutions. Throughout the past years, it evolved in the peer-reviewed academic journal officially listed by the Polish Ministry of Education and Science among the most valuable scientific journals and ranked with 40 points.
It is distributed to numerous university libraries, educational institutions, and individual subscribers - professionals from academia and business. Due to the growing interest and number of submissions from other countries, it is becoming an international journal with some volumes published entirely in English.

"E-mentor" features academic articles, reports from conferences and reviews of publications written by academics but also by experts.

For reviewing the submitted articles, the editors invite external subject experts as well as the Editorial Board members. The current list of persons collaborating with the editorial team while assessing and revising the submissions is published once a year. It always contains several dozens of academics both from Polish and foreign universities.

History
- February 2021 – "e-mentor" awarded 40 points on the modified list of scientific journals announced by the Ministry of Education and Science
- July 2019 – "e-mentor" is on the new list of scientific journals published by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education
- April 2019 – "e-mentor" receives the funding of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for the second internationalization project of the journal. In the following years 2019 and 2020, another four volumes in English will be issued
- January 2019 – The first two-year project aimed at internationalization of "e-mentor" journal has been completed. We published the first-ever four English volumes of “e-mentor”
- June 2018 – "e-mentor" just turned 15 years! We have published 75 volumes
- December 2015 – "e-mentor" received 15 points (out of 15 points possible to obtain by the journals which are not indexed in JCR and ERIH) according to the list of scientific journals of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education
- December 2013 – "e-mentor" received 9 points (out of 10 points possible to obtain by the journals which are not indexed in JCR) according to the list of scientific journals of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education
- June 2013 –the 50th issue was published
- September 2012 – after the changes in the evaluation system of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, "e-mentor" was evaluated at the level of 8 out of 10 points for journals from outside the Journal Citation Reports
- January 2012 – "e-mentor" in CEEOL (Central and Eastern European Online Library), an online library and database, which provides access to scholar articles (full text PDF) published in humanities and social science journals from Central and Eastern Europe
- March 2011 – a new version for mobile devices was created
- November 2010 – the website noted 5 000 000 000 visits
- October 2010 – "e-mentor" in CEJSH (The Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities)
- September 2010 – the new layout of the website was implemented giving our readers better access to our articles and upgraded forum for discussions
- June 2010 – after the changes in the evaluation system of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education "e-mentor" received 6 points (out of 9 points possible to obtain by the journals which are not indexed in JCR)
- March 2009 – the new issue of "Dialogue and Universalism" was published; one of the sections was prepared in cooperation with "e-mentor's" Editor's office
- September 2007 – "e-mentor" was evaluated positively by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education and received 4 points (out of 6 points possible to obtain by the journals which are not indexed in JCR) according to the ministerial list of scientific journals
- July 2007 – "e-mentor" was actively involved in conultations of the new ministerial draft of regulation on e-learning; we published comments and documents prepared by the Academic Association of E-learning
- April 2007 – the website noted 1 000 000 000 visits
- February 2007 – the first part of the Repository of the Third Age Universities was published; the Repository is being developed and updated
- February 2007 – the electronic version of the Conference Calendar was implemented
- August 2006 – a new layout of the magazine was implemented
- June 2005 – the 10th issue was published
- June 2006 – we coorganized virtual e-seminar „Rewitalizacja progresywna” with the Institute of National Economy of Warsaw School of Economics
- June 2004 – "Recommended" section was added; the section presents inspiring publications, forthcoming conferences and seminars and interesting websites; the new layout of covers was implemented
